If you can’t resist the sugary lure of sweet cinnamon rolls, but are conscious of the calories, then grab your blender and read on. This smoothie combines the decadence of cinnamon rolls, but cuts out the guilt by using healthier ingredients and natural sweeteners to make a super healthy, indulgent treat.

The recipe calls for frozen bananas, but fresh bananas will work just as well. Just add more ice and remember that the riper your banana, the sweeter it will be, so you may want to adjust the amount of dates you use, depending on your sweet tooth.

SERVES 1-2

Ingredients

– 4-5 ice cubes
– 1 frozen banana broken into about 4 pieces
– 2 medjool dates pitted
– ¼ cup old fashioned oats
– ½ tsp ground cinnamon
– 1 tsp chia seeds
– 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
– 1 cup milk of choice (I use almond)
– ½ cup Greek yogurt or non-dairy yogurt of choice

Method

Add all the ingredients into the blender in the order listed and blend until smooth.
