Istanbul Biennial
📍 Istanbul | September 14 – November 10, 2025

A sprawling biennale with site-specific commissions exploring themes of memory, futurism, and displacement in dynamic urban and architectural contexts. It will feature an exhibition with over 40 artists, along with performances, screenings, and talks. The Biennial has been organised by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV) since its inception. Last year's event was postponed so anticipation and excitement for this year is very high.
Independent New York
📍 New York City | September 5–8, 2025

Celebrated for its thoughtful curation and strong gallery-led ethos, Independent New York returns this September with a tightly edited selection of emerging and mid-career artists. The fair continues to stand out for its intimate atmosphere and innovative programming, with a strong representation of female and Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) artists and non-traditional gallery spaces. Expect new discoveries and cross-generational dialogues.
Frieze London & Frieze Masters
📍 Regent’s Park, London | October 2–5, 2025

Frieze remains a very major fair in the contemporary art calendar. Frieze London showcases the best of today’s global contemporary scene, while Frieze Masters brings curated booths of historical works spanning antiquities, Old Masters, and 20th-century icons. Expect powerful solo presentations, museum-quality booths, and a wave of new artist-market momentum.
1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair
📍 Somerset House, London | October 9–12, 2025

Now in its 13th edition, 1-54 continues to be the leading platform for contemporary African art, with galleries from across Africa, Europe, and North America. The fair champions emerging and established artists from the African continent and diaspora. This year's highlights include a new focus on West African abstraction and a dynamic series of artist talks and panel discussions.
Art Basel Paris
📍 Grand Palais Éphémère, Paris | October 16–19, 2025

The Paris edition of Art Basel has quickly become a serious rival to the original Swiss fair. With a spectacular backdrop of the French capital and a mix of blue-chip galleries and younger newcomers, Art Basel Paris attracts collectors from around the world as well as museum directors and curators. The off-site public installations around the city and curated sectors like Galeries Émergentes and Sites are also brilliant.
Art Basel Miami Beach
📍 Miami Beach Convention Center | December 4–7, 2025

The year ends on a high with Art Basel Miami, a magnet for collectors, curators, and creatives alike. Beyond the main fair, the entire city transforms into a playground of pop-up shows and large-scale installations. The 2025 edition promises a strong Latin American presence and a deepening focus on sustainability in the arts.
