In the first of a series we are exploring some of the most popular Ramadan destinations of our members in the UK's capital, suitable for Iftar and also enjoying all year round. 

 

 

BERENJAK

Berenjak is a Persian restaurant located in the lively area of Soho, in central London, reinterpreting the classic hole in the wall eateries lining the streets of Tehran . EM SHERIF

Proudly calling itself a "flagbearer for Lebanese culture", Em Sherif is a hugely popular restaurant located in Harrods department store, London. The restaurant positions itself as a traditional yet refined restaurant that is a gathering hub for Lebanese culture no matter which outpost one finds themselves in – a culture which is tasted, seen, heard, and constantly felt – through its cuisine, décor, music and its familial hospitality. The restaurant offers authentic Lebanese cuisine with traditional dishes such as grilled meats and seafood, as well as mezze platters. Em Sherif has an opulent interior design with gold accents and plush seating that creates a luxurious atmosphere for diners. The menu also features a selection of vegetarian options for those who prefer plant-based dishes. VILLA MAMAS

Villa Mamas is a Bahraini restaurant located in the popular food district of Chelsea, in London. AL HAMRA

Established in 1984 and now a familiar and reliable staple of Mayfair's ever changing restaurant scene, Al Hamra restaurant is a popular Lebanese restaurant located in Shepherd Market, just off Piccadilly. They are known for their authentic and flavourful dishes, such as biryani and curry. The restaurant has a cosy ambiance with warm lighting and comfortable seating, making it a great spot for intimate dinners or small groups. Named after Al Hamra Palace in Granada, Southern Spain, where the walls' and towers' iron hue led the magnificent structure to be know as the 'Red Castle‘. Al Hamra's aim is always authenticity, to offer a real taste of Lebanon in the heart of London.

 

 

BENARES

Benares Restaurant London is a Michelin-starred Indian restaurant located in the heart of Mayfair, London. The restaurant combines traditional Indian flavours with contemporary techniques to create innovative and delicious dishes.
