Akira Back
Japanese-Korean fusion
1364, Diplomatic Quarter

Akira opened back in October last year and MCC was part of the launch. Akira is a multi-sensory dining experience at, where modern Japanese cuisine meets bold Korean influences. Chef Akira Back is a Michelin winning and world-renowned Chef who created a lot of buzz when he entered the Riyadh scene. Earlier this year they launched their brunch experience, Saturdays 1-5pm. The menu focuses on delicious small plates, sushi masterpieces, and signature hot dishes, all in a luxe and intimate setting.
Chotto Matte
Japanese-Peruvian fusion

Chotto Matte has officially arrived in Riyadh! Members can experience the vibrant fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavours. Led by internationally renowned Executive Chef Jordan Sclare, Chotto Matte brings the essence of Nikkei cuisine to the heart of KAFD - where natural colors, fresh ingredients, and mouth-watering taste sensations come together for an unforgettable dining experience. It has a lively atmosphere with a large terrace and bold, graphic artwork, with a creative mocktail menu.
Isabel Mayfair
Latin-Mediterranean fusion
Al Sulimaniyah

The iconic Isabel Mayfair, celebrated for its charm and elegance in London’s most prestigious neighborhood, has now opened in Riyadh’s Al Sulimaniyah, and MCC was there for its soft launch in January. This is the first international location for the London restaurant, known for its warm and stylish Mediterranean dining, with a modern European twist. Riyadh is the first step in Isabel Mayfair's global expansion.
Kayzo

Myazu Oud Square, Al Sulimaniyah

MCC were among the first to experience Kayzo's "future of flavour" in Riyadh during their preview opening in January. Kayzo is casual and contemporary where the focus is very much on the food and is inspired by Japan's street food artisans. Kayzo is the sister company of the renowned Myazu, the Robata restaurant which won multiple awards in 2023 and is a favourite among our Community.
Zuma
Japanese
Metro Blvd, Al Aqiq

This vibrant and popular destination expanded to Riyadh in 2024, offering its famously vibrant atmosphere with interactive sushi and robata counters, vast two-storey dining space and a DJ booth. There are also private dining spaces available. Known for its Izakaya style dining, Zuma has all your Japanese favourites done to the highest standard, and includes a Riyadh-exclusive signature dessert.
COMING SOON
Bambini
Italian
The famous Bambini Paris, with its authentic flavours and breathtaking Eiffel Tower terrace views, is bringing its Italian experience to Riyadh soon. Speculation has been mounting ever since the announcement last year. It's the brand's first international expansion outside of France and will continue to bring Italian street life to its menu with wood-fired pizza and fresh pasta dishes.
Loulou
French & Italian Riviera
Speaking of famous French restaurants, the incomparable Loulou in Paris's Musée des Arts Décoratifs (part of the Louvre) is also expanding to Riyadh, bringing its unique fusion of French Riviera and Italian Riviera food to the city. We are already speculating how the fine art ambience of the original Loulou will be recreated for the competitive Riyadh scene.
Alaya
Mediterranean & Middle Eastern
Alaya is a popular restaurant in Dubai known for its elegant and luxurious atmosphere, drawing inspiration from the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East. The restaurant offers a sophisticated interpretation of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern traditions, with a menu featuring a variety of mezze dishes, rotisserie meats, seafood, and desserts. Alaya has ambitious expansion plans and it will be launching in Riyadh in 2025.
Perruche
French
Another Parisian favourite brings the tastes and ambience of classic Provencal food to the heart of Paris, and soon it will be coming to the heart of Riyadh. Signature dishes include Pissaladière, petits farcis, ravioles de gamba, plancha-cooked octopus, and confit shoulder of lamb, and it will be interesting to see how the menu is interpreted for the Kingdom.
L’Atelier Joel Robuchon
French
Considered one of the greatest chefs of all time, Joel Robuchon's legacy has expanded since the launch of the L'Atelier restaurant brand which now boasts 23 Michelin stars across 14 countries, and the restaurant group presents 12 unique concepts, ranging from the original L’Atelier Robuchon - a modern, innovate approach to French haute cuisine - to the inviting Le Deli Robuchon. Speculation continues that L'Atelier will join the buzzing Riyadh scene in 2025.
Inko Nito
Japanese / Korean
An unconventional Japanese restaurant based in Soho, London, offers robatayaki and sushi with Korean flavour influences. Relaxed, informal and fun and reflective of the area's vibrant atmosphere, the restaurant will be expanding into Riyadh in 2025.
